Medical Air Transport Service Overview
Scope of Services
- Local airport → domestic hospital transfer
- 1 low-deductible air ambulance per 365 days (within scope)
- Extra trips / out-of-scope: USD 5,000 per flight hour
Service availability period
- 30-day waiting period after approval (no service during period)
- Evacuation within 72 hours after fit-to-fly approval and case activation
Fit-to-fly assessment criteria
- Critical – air ambulance required Unstable vital signs requiring ICU-level care, including acute myocardial infarction and traumatic brain injury.
- Critical – air ambulance activation as needed High risk of deterioration with life-threatening conditions, including intubation or moderate respiratory failure.
Membership includes the following only
- Includes air ambulance aviation costs, medical crew, equipment, and essential onboard supplies.
- Medical crew and equipment are included as part of the service.
- Excludes consumables, medications, additional treatments, and medical fees.
